Are you a peanut butter and jam OR rich caramel fan? I’m both so I find it really difficult to choose a favourite!
These bars are my version of a healthy flapjack, the base is made using our bars, so they are healthy, but still very indulgent. They have a sweet middle filling however, If you want no added processed sugar then simply pass on the middle filling. It is a nice treat though so maybe add the filling for a weekend or special occasion treat.
Ingredients
Base
5 peanut and caramel love vegan bars
20g cacao butter
1 tbsp agave or maple syrup
15g oats (can be GF)
Middle
Add more or less to suit your taste
Biscoff spread (1/2 tsp per bite)
Jam & peanut butter (1/4 tsp of each per bite)
Method
Add the love vegan bars to a blender and pulse until you have fine crumbs
Carefully melt the cacao butter and agave/maple syrup over a low heat or in the microwave
Once melted add the oats and blended love vegan bars
Divide the mixture into two
Add half of the mixture into individual moulds or a small dish and press down firmly using the back of a spoon
Add your chosen middle filling
Top with the remaining mixture and press down again but not as firmly as the middle may spill out
Place in the fridge for about a hour to firm up
Cut into chunks and enjoy with your favourite hot beverage
*** If you are not adding the middle simply squish all of the mixture into a mould and press down firmly using the back of a spoon
If you do make this then I hope you love it

*For those of you eating a gluten free diet because of a gluten intolerance/allergy to gluten or suffering from celiac disease please check the ingredients listed in my recipes carefully.
