If you’re enjoying a plant based diet and fancy a creme egg this easter then this is the recipe for you! They are sweet, delicious and just as good as a cadburys creme egg!

Simple to make and great to share, I hope you love them as much as I do!

Ingredients

70 choc

100 icing sugar

 1 tbsp water

 1tbsp golden syrup

Few drops food colouring

Method

🐣Melt the chocolate and divide into 4 egg shaped moulds

🐣Pop into the freezer for half an hour or overnight in the fridge

🐣Mix the icing sugar, water and golden syrup in a small bowl until combined. (This is your white icing for the egg white)

🐣Remove 4 small tsp of icing and put into a small bowl. Add a few drops of yellow or Orange food colouring and mix (this is your yellow icing for the yoke)

🐣When the chocolate has set place the white icing into each mould followed by a drop of yellow icing in the middle to make the egg.

Leave in the fridge until you’re ready to eat

Top tip- You can cover the top of the egg moulds with more chocolate if you’d like a sealed egg. Simply melt some more chocolate and cover the fondant icing with the chocolate, just make sure you put the egg halves in the fridge for a few hours to firm up first :)

They make great gifts this way too

See photo gallery below.

If you do make this then I hope you love it
