Melt in the mouth and incredibly tasty, these treats are a must try for anyone who LOVES a good biscuit. I hope you love them as much as we do! x
Ingredients
100g coconut oil
80g trex shortening
200g caster sugar
300g plain flour
2 tsp rose water
40g dark flaked chocolate (I used a bar and sliced into it to create chards/flakes)
Dipped topping (2 flavours)
Sweet rose; 100g icing sugar, 1/2 teaspoon beetroot powder, 2 tbsp rose water.
Chocolate & cardamon; 80g dark chocolate, 4 cardamon seeds crushed to a powder, 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
OPTIONAL - EDIBLE ROSE PETALS AND CHOCCOLATE CHIPS TO SPRINKLE
Method
Mix the coconut oil, trex and sugar together until smooth
Add the flour and combine until a ball is formed
Add the rose water and the flaked chocolate and mix using your hands until combined into a large smooth log shape (wide enough for the width of biscuits you’d like)
Chill for 20 minutes in the fridge
After chilling in the fridge slice the log shaped dough (as you would a loaf of bread)
Place the biscuit rounds on a lined baking tin and bake for 8-10 minutes in a pre-heated oven 180C
Allow the biscuits to cool whilst you prepare the toppings
Simply mix together the ingredients for the toppings in two seperate small bowls
Dip half of the biscuits in the rose topping (half coating only) and sprinkle with chocolate chips
Dip the other half of the biscuits (half coating only) in the chocolate and cardamon topping and sprinkle with edible rose petals
If you do make this then I hope you love it

Big love, Jen x
