This refreshing watermelon lemonade is a perfect choice as an alternative to a soft fizzy drink, or as a delicious cocktail for a non-alcohol beverage. Great for BBQ’s, parties or celebration drinks, this will not disappoint. I hope you love this a much as we do, enjoy x
Ingredients
1 small watermelon or 1/2 a large watermelon (you may also use frozen watermelon if they are not in season)
Juice of a large lemon (around 100ml of lemon juice needed)
75g caster sugar
1/2 litre soda water
1 lime
Ice cubes/crushed ice
Method
Chop the watermelon in half and scoop out the watermelon (save the skin to use as a jug)
Place the watermelon into a high speed blender with the lemon juice and sugar
Blend it until completely smooth then drain through a cheese-cloth/milk strainer bag or a sieve
Once you have the watermelon base add the soda water, add a squeeze of lime
Place the ice into a glass with a slice of lime and pour the watermelon lemonade over the ice
If you do make this then I hope you love it
