Baked doughnuts are not only healthier than fried but they’re also great for breakfast when you add super healthy ingredients. Pair with a plant latte and some fresh fruit and you're good to go.
Ingredients
Doughnut
2 ripe bananas
1 tbsp maple syrup
3/4 cup oat flour - can be G/F (regular oats blended until fine)
1/4 cup almond flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp plant milk
Nut butter topping
large spoon nut butter
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp plant milk
pinch all spice
Optional
Love Vegan caramel bar to sprinkle on top
Method
Preheat oven to 180C
Blend or mash the banana and maple syrup until really smooth
Add the rest of the doughnut ingredients and blend or mix until combined
Divide into doughnut moulds (I use silicone moulds)
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden
Whilst the doughnuts are baking prepare the topping by simply mixing the topping ingredients together in a small bowl
When the doughnuts are cooked allow to cool then smother with the nut butter topping and sprinkle with a Love Vegan bar for added mmmmm
If you do make this then I hope you love it
