This is the perfect for when you want chocolate for breakfast! I admit I have a terrible sweet tooth and choose a sweet breakfast most mornings but sweet and chocolate doesn’t necessarily mean unhealthy, I spend a long time researching and testing out healthy recipes that really deliver on taste. This breakfast is secretly healthy whilst being crammed with delicious chocolate flavour, mainly due to the delicious indulgence and added chocoliciousness from our Love Vegan bites (they’re also healthy) and additional super foods ingredients to boost your daily dose of goodness, it’s also filling and will definitely curb those sweet cravings. I sometimes like to eat this as a snack, lunch or dinner. In fact you can eat this all day long!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup almond milk

2 teaspoons cacao powder

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 cup oats

1 tablespoon chia seeds (super food boost)

2 tablespoons peanut butter (super food boost)

8 Love Vegan heart bites

Toppings

1 spoonful coconut/natural vegan yogurt

Love Vegan Heart Bites (for total indulgence and added chocoliciousness)

Banana and grated vegan chocolate to serve - or other toppings of your choice

Method

  • Start by making a chocolate milk

  • Add the cacao powder and maple syrup to a medium sized bowl and stir to form a thick paste

  • Add a little of the milk and continue to stir until the thick pate has formed a thinner liquid

  • Slowly add the rest of milk and stir until it’s all dissolved.

This is your chocolate milk base

  • Add the oats to the bowl and stir together

  • Add the chia seeds and peanut butter and stir

  • Add eight love vegan hearts (saving the rest to decorate in the morning)

  • Cover the bowl and pop in the fridge overnight (or at least a few hours so the oats and chia seeds can absorb the liquid)

If you have a taste now it’s already delicious!

  • In the morning stir it all up again and if its looking too thick simply add a dash of plant milk and stir to thin it out a little.

  • divide the mixture into bowls and decorate with banana, Love Vegan heart bites and a sprinkle of chia seeds and grated vegan chocolate

  • Now it’s time to dive right in.
