Spelt & Oat Breakfast Biscuits

Spelt biscuits

These breakfast biscuits are perfect to make at the beginning of the week as a go-to for those days when you’re short on time but want a tasty breakfast, They are perfect with your favourite latte or a nice cup of tea!


Ingredients

175g spelt flour (or use G/F if needed)

50g oats flour (ground/blended oats, can also be g/F)

75g agave or maple syrup

1 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp mixed seeds

OPTIONAL: Chopped Love Chocolate bar, choc chips or raisins/cramberries


Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180C and line a baking tray with baking powder

  • Mix together all of the ingredients including your added optional extras (see below of you wish to add out NEW Love Chocolate bars)

  • Roll small balls in the palms of your hands and squash down a little

  • Place the flattened circle biscuits onto the baking tray and bake for 7-10 minutes or until they just start to turn golden on top

  • The middle should be soft and the edges more firm but not crispy

  • Leave to cool on a wire rack slightly before eating

  • Any left overs will keep for 5 days in an airtight container
